Think about a regulated trade. The security moves. The payment moves. Yet the real challenge is making sure both sides know the transaction actually settled as intended.
This is where fragmented systems can create friction: separate processes, reconciliation, coordination, and uncertainty between “the trade happened” and “the trade settled.”
That’s exactly the kind of friction blockchain should be removing.
Dusk’s atomic settlement approach is interesting because it treats the asset leg and payment leg as connected parts of the same settlement event.
