SOL current price is 94.52. In the past 24 hours it only fell 1.13%. It looks calm, but within the last 24 hours it first touched a high of 102.84, then crashed to 87.00. The amplitude is over 15%. From the lowest point, the current level has rebounded 8.6% already.

The liquidation direction has fully reversed along this path. In the past 24 hours across the whole network, liquidations totaled $98.528 million. Longs account for $64.483 million, or 65.4%, with the bulk coming from the earlier wave of selloff. If we narrow the window a bit: in the 12-hour window, shorts gained the lead to 52.2%; in the 4-hour window, shorts expanded further to 61.2%. This segment is exactly the range where price rebounded from 87 back up to the low 90s. The shorts that had managed to avoid the earlier drop are only now starting to get closed out. Looking by exchange, it’s even clearer: on Hyperliquid, in the past 4 hours, $0.728 million in liquidations (98.5%) is short liquidations. On OKX, $0.782 million in the past 4 hours—71.3% are shorts. On Bybit, $0.639 million in the past 4 hours—68.0% are shorts. Binance is relatively balanced, with 51.6% long.

In the most recent 1 hour, the wind direction has changed again. In this single hour, liquidations across the whole network were only $19.45 million. Longs make up 98.2%. Binance alone accounts for $1.471 million, of which longs are $1.449 million—98.5%. The longs that chased the rebound and entered right then just happened to hit a pullback occurring during this 1-hour move.

Open interest hasn’t swung dramatically. Binance’s 24-hour OI fell only 0.02%, while the 4-hour OI actually rose 2.98%. Hyperliquid’s 24-hour OI fell 2.98%, but its 4-hour OI rose 3.48%. Both longs and shorts are rotating positions at this level, and there are no signs of an overall retreat.
