After the payment public chain Keeta Network recently suffered a security incident, the official has released the latest update: the project’s CEO Ty issued a new statement saying that the investigation has made substantive progress, and evidence identifying the attacker has already been collected.
The evidence includes information on the IP addresses related to the attack and the underlying infrastructure used, such as VPNs and VPSs; the user agents and technical environments that initiated unauthorized requests; relevant email addresses; and the software and infrastructure service providers involved. The relevant evidence has been saved and submitted to the relevant authorities.
The official formally demands that the attacker return all funds obtained from this attack within 72 hours. Payment in the form of $KTA, $ETH , or $USDC will be accepted.
The official stated: If the funds are returned in full, Keeta is willing to provide a certain reward for the discovery of the vulnerability and resolve the matter without pursuing legal liability. If the funds are not returned within 72 hours, Keeta will reserve all rights to pursue legal action and seek recovery of the funds.
Previously, on August 20, Ty posted that the root cause of the security incident had been determined. The issue was limited to the affected components and did not involve the anchoring system or the external connection system. KTA on the Base network is not affected. The mainnet will remain in read-only mode; operation will resume after patch testing is completed. At the same time, Keeta is assessing full compensation plans for affected users.
