The payment public chain Keeta Network has just released the latest update regarding a recent attack incident. The official team already has key evidence that can identify the attackers.
Keeta CEO Ty said that the investigation has made substantial progress. The team has collected evidence including the IP addresses related to the attack, information on the VPN and VPS infrastructure used, the technical environment and user agents used to initiate the unauthorized requests, associated email addresses, and details about the software and service providers involved. All evidence has been preserved and submitted to the relevant authorities.
The official has formally issued a final notice to the attackers: they are required to return all funds stolen in this attack within 72 hours. Repayment in $KTA is acceptable, as well as $ETH or $USDC . If the funds are fully returned, Keeta is willing to provide a certain reward for the vulnerability discovery and will not pursue the attackers’ legal responsibility. However, if the funds are not returned within 72 hours, Keeta will retain all rights to pursue legal responsibility and to seek recovery of the funds.
Before this, Ty posted on August 20 explaining that the security incident is limited to the affected components only and does not involve the oracle and external connection systems. KTA on the Base network is not affected. Meanwhile, the mainnet remains in read-only mode. After patch testing is completed, normal operations will be resumed. The team is also evaluating a full compensation plan for affected users.
