Trading Using RSI + Three Moving Averages | Simple Strategy for Uptrend
If you’re looking for a method that combines price trend + momentum + entry timing, then combining moving averages with RSI gives you a practical filter instead of relying on a single signal.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Basic Settings
EMA 9 → a fast average to identify short-term momentum.
EMA 21 → to confirm the trend.
EMA 50 → the main trend filter.
RSI 14 → measures momentum strength.
Suggested Timeframes:
4H → to identify the main trend.
1H → to confirm the trend and the scenario.
15M → to fine-tune the entry point.
5M → optional for very precise execution only.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
BUY Conditions 📈
Price must be above EMA 50.
EMA 9 is above EMA 21, or a clear bullish crossover occurs.
RSI supports the continuation of bullish momentum.
It’s best to wait for the candle close and confirmation rather than entering while it’s still moving.
When the conditions align, the trade becomes more in line with the uptrend.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
EXIT
We watch for weakening momentum when:
EMA 9 starts breaking below EMA 21 downward
With RSI dropping from overbought zones.
And if EMA 50 is broken, the trend must be reassessed completely.
Important Note About RSI
Reaching RSI at 70 does not automatically mean selling, and reaching it at 30 does not automatically mean buying.
In strong trends, RSI may remain in overbought zones for a long time.
So use it as a momentum confirmation, not as a standalone signal
