I just washed my hair and sat down at my vanity to blow-dry it. The hot air whirred loudly, so out of habit I glanced at the U.S. stock continuous (perpetual) ranking list on the market. Surprisingly, $WMT is actually ranked ahead of the gainers.

Honestly, if capital is re-picking a stock like this, I’m actually more likely to pay closer attention.

Because companies like Walmart aren’t the kind of names that rely purely on telling stories with sentiment.

It’s more like a “chassis-type” player in the consumer environment—no matter how high or low everyone’s emotions are, the stuff people need to buy in daily life still needs to be bought.

That kind of stable demand, when the market starts to get tangled up in growth versus volatility, is often easier to be repriced again.

I’m bullish for another reason too: it’s not just the old-school impression of traditional retail.

From what I understand, over the years it’s been moving toward higher efficiency and stronger fulfillment.

Whoever can smooth out the supply chain, pricing power, in-store and online coordination—those are the kinds of companies that are more likely to get patient capital in this kind of environment.

This isn’t the most thrilling direction, but it fits the market right now, which isn’t very willing to buy purely on concepts.

The chart is also pretty interesting.

It’s currently at $104.02, up only 1.00% in the past 24 hours—not exactly the kind of stock that looks wildly excited at first glance.

But the intraday high already touched $104.11, which suggests capital is trying higher levels; it’s not just sitting there doing nothing.

What makes me most comfortable is that the funding rate is still +0.0000%. It feels like, sure, everyone’s watching it, but nobody has really squeezed into a tight crowd yet.

I usually prefer this kind of state—“not noisy, but someone is already boarding.”

Of course, that doesn’t mean there are no variables.

In a retail sector like this, the worst-case scenario is repeated swings in consumer expectations, or the market suddenly switching back to a high-beta style. In that case, this more steady stock can easily look slow.

And companies like this naturally don’t offer extremely exaggerated room for imagination. I don’t think it’s realistic to get it wildly pumped just by a couple days of sentiment.

But if you ask me, among this batch of names in Binance’s TradFi universe, which one is more like the kind of direction that won’t keep me awake at night—I’d put $WMT in that category.

My current stance is moderately bullish: I’m not chasing the excitement. I’m willing to wait for a pullback and try a small position.

The market turns its face faster than a book page. Keep some position. $WMT #U.S. stocks
