China National Offshore Oil Corp said the main structure of the Huizhou 19-6 platform, billed as Asia's largest offshore crude oil processing platform, was topped out in Zhuhai on August 22. According to Jiemian News, the platform will be used to develop and produce a large, 100-million-ton-class integrated oilfield in the Pearl River Mouth Basin. After the topping-out milestone, the project will move into pipeline installation, cable laying and equipment commissioning. Once completed, it will serve the Huizhou 19-6 oilfield, described as China's first discovered offshore deep to ultra-deep clastic rock, 100-million-ton-class integrated oilfield.
