$AAOI: The harder it drops, the more I hesitate to chase a short.
Just now I glanced at the data, and one thing caught my attention.
The price keeps falling, but the big players' long/short positioning ratio is still 3.17.
That means: the group with the heaviest positions is still headed in the long direction.
They haven't bailed.
There are two possibilities here.
First:
The big players misjudged it. Next, they may be forced to cut losses, and the price could accelerate further downward.
Second:
The big players know something we don't. They're waiting for a specific level.
After all retail traders have fully stopped out and exited, then they push price higher.
If it's the second case, then the people chasing shorts right now might actually become fuel.
So for now, I'm only watching the 107.8800 level.
A break below it, with OI continuing to rise → it indicates new shorts are entering, and you can start looking for short opportunities.
Hold the level, and the bid returns → the big players' logic might be correct; chasing shorts, be careful.
I’m not guessing direction now.
