The XRP price rose by 17% and reached an intraday high of $1.43 after Ripple’s vote on the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment moved a key milestone for updating the XRP Ledger to version 3.3.0 deeper into the validator-approval process.

XRPL validator voting data showed that seven out of 35 validators in the standard list of unique nodes supported PermissionDelegationV1_1 in the latest count. A positive vote from Ripple indicates support from one of the most closely watched participants in the network, but it does not mean approval or activation of this feature.
According to the XRP Ledger amendment procedure, the proposal must receive support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two consecutive weeks. Based on the current setup of 35 validators, PermissionDelegationV1_1 would require at least 29 votes to exceed 80%, although some members of the community note that the practical threshold is 28 out of 35.
If support falls to 80% or lower during the two-week period, the waiting period will start over.
