Look bro, there’s something interesting in today’s market. First, US Treasury Secretary Bessent said a new fiscal plan is coming, but the bond-market pressure doesn’t seem to have had any special effect. Meaning bond yields are the same—no big move. It feels a bit sketchy. And Bill Ackman praised a dividend stock, but honestly, I’ll skip it. Ackman’s taste never seems to be right for retail. Dividends are good, but the growth looks limited. There was also TikTok news—it's paying $400 million to the US in a child privacy settlement. This is one of the biggest settlements. Big shock, but manageable for the business. Talking about the market, Bitcoin jumped today, but the S&P 500 closed on Friday with a weekly loss. A bit of a mixed signal, yaar. On one side entry into crypto, and on the other weak momentum in equities. And yes, some random news too—there’s an E. coli and salmonella outbreak linked to alfalfa sprouts, and people have fallen ill in multiple states. If anyone eats sprouts, then be a little careful. Overall, there’s no clear direction in the market. Bond yields are flat, stocks are weak, crypto is up. What do you think—will this Bitcoin jump sustain, or is it just one day of drama?
