Whale trader Jason Leo said he is rethinking discipline and risk control after reviewing his recent trading history. According to ChainCatcher, he said he once made about $100 million in profit during the previous cycle but gave back much of it after failing to cut losses when the market reversed.

Jason said he initially kept a trend-following view in the current rally and expected Bitcoin to reach $74,000, treating the volatility along the way as part of the uptrend. As the price moved closer to that target, however, memories of earlier losses made him more cautious, and he chose to exit early.

He said Bitcoin eventually reached $74,000, but he did not stay in the trade. Jason added that his mistake in the previous cycle was overconfidence in the trend, while this time he left too early out of fear of repeating the same error. He said the biggest challenge in trading is not beating the market, but escaping fixed thinking formed by past experience.
