$AAVE: It’s rising in a strange way. I need to understand it clearly before I say anything.
It moved from 100.1100 to 127.2000—an increase of 26.5%.
But the active buy orders—meaning the part that truly chases the price as it rises—have a buy/sell ratio of only 0.90.
It’s not even 1.
That means: the price is going up, but nobody is actively chasing it higher.
So who’s pushing the price?
There are two possibilities.
First:
The sellers are canceling orders. The buy side hasn’t increased, but the price drifts upward passively.
This kind of rally won’t last.
Second:
There are large orders slowly propping up the price, waiting for retail investors to jump in before unloading.
This kind of rally is more dangerous.
Right now, I’m only looking at one thing:
Whether the buy side has truly caught up.
If after breaking 126.1100, the active buy orders start increasing noticeably → the uptrend may be real.
If it spikes up to around 126.1100, but the buy orders still can’t come in → the risk of a fake breakout is very high.
Until the volume follows, I won’t chase.
