Earlier, the 2360 limit order worked well and I successfully entered on the long, and the market rebounded upward as expected. Fans set their own take-profit at 2449; my target is around 2480.
If it first hits 2449, I’ll prioritize taking profit on most of the position, and move the stop-loss on the remaining small portion to continue looking for higher. If it pushes up then meets resistance and falls back, I can still secure most of the profit—I won’t let unrealized gains turn into givebacks.
Trading futures isn’t about waiting for the absolute highest point. Having your own take-profit level is a great habit. Take the profit that’s rightfully yours—don’t force a gamble for the extreme top.
