BTC and ETH are both going crazy—where will the next round of funds flow?

This might be the most worth-thinking-about question in the market right now.

When major coins rise, everyone likes to chase BTC and ETH. But the truly exciting moves often happen after funds start spreading into mid- and small-cap sectors.

That’s also why I’ve recently started paying attention again to @Dusk .

Dusk’s story isn’t just about blindly “trading the word privacy.” After going through its whitepaper again, I feel that what it’s really trying to solve is a more realistic problem: once financial assets are mass-onchained in the future, how can privacy and compliance coexist at the same time?

In Dusk’s architecture, Moonlight handles the account model and transparent transactions, while Phoenix uses the UTXO model to deliver stronger privacy protection through zero-knowledge proofs. These two modes aren’t simply a case of choosing one or the other—they give different kinds of assets and scenarios different ways of processing information.

What’s even more interesting is the XSC standard proposed by Dusk. For regulated assets like securities and funds, it’s not simply a matter of hiding all data. Instead, it allows for selective disclosure under rules. In other words, transactions can stay private, but when necessary, they can still be verified.

Going further, there are DuskVM, DuskDS, and the ongoing push toward DuskEVM, which respectively take on different roles such as execution, data, and EVM compatibility.

So what Dusk really wants to build may not be an ordinary privacy chain at all, but rather a set of on-chain infrastructure designed for financial use cases.

If this current major-coin rally keeps spreading, I’ll be especially watching projects that are still steadily filling in underlying capabilities.
