They had previously been traded during a rising session at USD2.80 per million British thermal units. Natural gas may find support at USD2.638 and resistance at USD2.875.
Dollar index futures, which measure the performance of the U.S. currency against a basket of six major other currencies, rose 0.08% to trade at USD98.73.
Meanwhile on NYMEX, October crude oil prices rose 0.33% to trade at USD87.12 per barrel, while September heating oil prices rose 0.73% to trade at USD4.51 per gallon.
