The market has been pressed with a pause button. After the afternoon surge and a push toward the 79,500 level, the evening quickly turned back into another slump. There’s been no market volatility to speak of—everything has been hovering and tugging around the 77,000 area. The daytime “celebration” has not carried over. For the current market structure, the weekend repair appears to have already entered its final stretch. In this kind of pattern, in the short term the market is unlikely to provide any major new swings. During the weekend phase, our key focus is whether the 76,000 support at the base can hold and stabilize. If it does stabilize, then in the period ahead there will certainly be a rebound with continuation.
