Honestly, I was a bit dazed watching the charts at midnight. A single long bullish candle pushed BTC up to 79,500 and then dropped back to 77,670—seeing that kind of volatility really makes my heart hurt. ETH is steady though, hovering around 2,401, and DeFi doesn’t seem to have much big movement either.
But what I’m really watching today is XAUT. This round of counter-trend strength for the gold token is up 1.5%—it climbed from 4,486 all the way to 4,581. Even though the move isn’t huge, that steady, constant grind upward gives my system a whiff of a real trend. The grid orders have been eating two slots between 4,520 and 4,550. Now the signal has turned more bullish, but I didn’t rush to add—I'm afraid of chasing the price. This kind of slow-bull market is exactly what’s easiest to trick people.
To be honest, I’m a little panicked, because last time I went all-in when it “looked like it was about to break out,” and it got knocked back to square one by a single bearish candle. So this time, since the system says it’s bullish, I only dare to hold my current position and wait until it really stands above 4,585. For BTC, it’s been ranging around 77k; the direction is about to be decided. The demand for gold as a safe-haven should still be able to support XAUT.
Should I add to this position? I’m torn. How do you usually handle a slow-rising market?
