#termmax @TermMax
I don't fully trust variable rates anymore, so I tried fixed
I'm not a professional trader. I just have some stablecoins sitting around and sometimes I borrow a bit when I need cash.
The thing with variable rates is I never really know what I'm paying. Last time I borrowed on Aave, the rate was fine when I started. Then two weeks later I checked and it had doubled. Nothing terrible happened, but it annoyed me. I felt like I had to keep checking the app, which defeats the whole point of passive income.
So when I saw #TermMax lets you borrow at a fixed rate for a fixed time, I thought I'd try it with a small amount first.
The process was simpler than I expected. Pick how much, pick the term, see the rate, confirm. The rate I got wasn't amazing. I think I could have gotten slightly cheaper elsewhere at that moment.
But the nice thing is I basically stopped thinking about it. I borrowed, I used the money, and I knew exactly what I'd owe at the end. No checking every day to see if the rate moved against me.
Would I do it again? Probably yes, but still with small amounts. I want to see how it goes a few more times before I trust it with anything bigger.
Maybe I'm too cautious. But after a few bad experiences with "good rates" that didn't stay good, I'd rather pay a tiny bit more and sleep normally.
