My Six Years: From a Newbie in the Circle to Rebuilding After Debt
In 2019, I was in my first year of college. That year, internet projects were popping up everywhere—dominating the screen, Lianxin... The models were basically the same: pay to go VIP, post on Moments, recruit people, and then cash out with a scam. I acted as a “wool gatherer,” used my credit card to fund it and spent money meant for living expenses. During winter and summer breaks, I worked to repay my debts. Every time I knew I needed to run faster than the project people, but every time I lost to greed.
It wasn’t until a guy from Moments—“Fat Brother”—promoted “It’s fun, right?” He was a big shot who made several million from Lianxin. Following him, I joined this circle-project. There were no candlestick charts—only consensus, hierarchy, and the WeChat lectures from a business school every night.
I prepared more than 300 dolls, spent over 100 yuan to print a few hundred promotion materials, and hired classmates to do door-to-door promotion at the school gate: free gift of dolls. In half a month, I rose to a two-star creator. The coin price slowly went up from just a few yuan. Every month I sold a little to cover my living expenses. That year, I lived like a nouveau riche—there wasn’t much money in my pocket, but I felt I would definitely get rich someday.
In August 2020, the platform shut down. The boss was arrested. The rights-protection group was created and then fell apart—donations, complaints, and in the end it all came to nothing. But I didn’t lose money on this project, and it’s also the only thing I truly trusted.
After graduating from junior college in 2021, I successfully got promoted to an undergraduate program in 2023. During that time, I got into gambling on sports apps/online betting, and I lost a lot. My parents helped pay it back, and I went back to it again. From winning a few hundred to losing several thousand—the more I tried to break even, the deeper I fell. By day I worked the Foxconn assembly line; at night I hid in stairwells to take collection calls. I had 50,000 yuan in online loans at a 23.99% interest rate. With a monthly salary of only four or five thousand, it was impossible to fill the gap.
At the beginning of 2025, I didn’t accept my fate. I quit my job and moved into the new energy manufacturing industry. My monthly salary was 8,000, with accommodation provided. I deleted the app—once my salary hit, I used it to pay off my debts, keeping only money for living expenses. By the end of the year, the debts were cleared.
In 2026, wasn’t it fun, boss Sun? The group chat blew up—“Do the assets still exist?” “Is this another round of cuts?” But this time was different. He didn’t just paint a picture; everything he said got done. The group chat became lively again, and everyone stayed and didn’t give up.
I’m 27, debt-free and light as a feather. From a newbie in the coin圈 to a gambler, from 50,000 yuan in debt to standing back up—this curve made me feel more grounded than any coin price.
Boss Sun is pushing hard, the group chat is pushing hard, and I’m pushing hard too. We’ve been waiting for this day for six years.
This time, no gambling—just work. I will definitely turn it around successfully.
