Yesterday I ate 333 points, 17%
The first time I ate that much in one go
I originally thought that the program I painstakingly wrote—was it really useless?
After losing in small amounts for four months, stopping losses, and losing so much that I started to doubt life itself, today I finally got to eat it—333 points.
When I wrote the program, I was backtesting performance across an entire year. But that entire year was a high-to-low pullback and a bear market. I’m also not sure whether the program, in the late stage of a bear market—when there’s no attention and the market is just sideways with no volume—can make it through the storms ahead, or whether it works once the bull market arrives. I can’t guarantee that I’ll be in position for every big行情.
A few months ago, when it dropped from 2000 to 1503, I went short and stopped out quickly. If I had held on for just 10 more points, I could’ve caught the larger swing.
But that’s just how it is: the program is fixed; the market is alive.
I can’t adjust the parameters for just one failure—that would affect every subsequent win and loss.
So all I can do is wait in the market for the opportunity that belongs to me.
I’m still determined to compound using 2.5x.
Keep the principal, and then in the crypto world you’ll have a say.
