⚡ Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) once again put forward a very bold view on August 21: “Let’s tokenize everything.” In CZ’s view, the future won’t be limited to just crypto assets being put on-chain—stocks, bonds, real estate, funds, and even more traditional assets could potentially enter global markets through tokenization. For countries and businesses, this may represent a brand-new way to raise funds and attract international capital.
🌍 CZ believes that if assets can be digitized and circulated to global investors, companies and countries will have the opportunity to tap into more overseas funding. He even said he supports issuing tokenized assets on multiple blockchains, rather than concentrating all development on just one chain.
Of course, this approach also brings a challenge: liquidity may become fragmented.
🔍 The same asset appearing on different networks could lead to price discrepancies, insufficient trading depth, and other issues. However, CZ thinks that developing multiple chains in parallel might be the way to rapidly expand the entire industry.
And the key to solving this problem may be “interoperability.”
If tokenized assets across different blockchains can be transferred and exchanged more easily, and have unified redemption and settlement mechanisms, then today’s liquidity fragmentation could gradually improve over time.
📈 It’s worth noting that the pace of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is indeed accelerating.
Data shows that as of August 19, the number of RWA holding addresses on BNB Chain has reached approximately 770,000, with growth of over 300% in the past 30 days. More and more traditional financial institutions and on-chain projects are also beginning to try moving assets like stocks and bonds onto the chain.
