Crude oil futures rose during the Asian session on Friday.
According to the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil futures for October traded at USD86.48 per barrel at the time of writing, up 0.40%.

They were previously traded on a higher session at USD86.94 per barrel. Crude oil may find support at USD80.80 and resistance at USD87.69.

Dollar index futures, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six other major currencies, fell by 0.16% to trade at USD98.66.

Meanwhile on NYMEX, the price of Brent oil for October rose by 0.22% to trade at USD93.57 per barrel, while the point spread (spread) between Brent oil and crude oil contracts stands at USD7.09 per barrel.
