[Global Media Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On August 21, according to TechCrunch, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg added another major real-estate deal, recently completing the acquisition of an Irish 19th-century castle in Strancally, along with a 440-acre estate. The transaction was valued at between $23 million and $35 million.

Media reports say the historic castle was built along a river and comes with 11 bedrooms, four tower-suite rooms, and well-equipped spaces such as a library, a dining room, and a drawing room. The former owner was a financial investor, and his family has lived there for 25 years. The castle is located in County Waterford, about a two-hour drive from Dublin, where Meta’s international headquarters is. Meta established a large data center in Dublin in 2017.

Zuckerberg’s spokesperson said externally that the Zuckerberg family hopes to properly maintain this historic building and will frequently travel to Ireland to live there in the future. This is no longer the first record-breaking, high-priced real-estate purchase by Zuckerberg this year. Previously, he and his wife spent $170 million to buy a mansion in Miami’s top-tier affluent community, where tech giants like Bezos also live in the same area.
