Binance Launches Agent OS: AI Agents Can Trade Directly; Users Set Permissions and Funding Limits

Deep Tide Read: Binance officially launched the Agent OS developer platform on August 20, enabling AI agents such as ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, and others to connect to market data, monitor accounts, and execute spot, margin, and futures trading. Users can assign dedicated sub-accounts to their agents, configure the scope of permissions themselves, and revoke access at any time. By default, sub-accounts are prohibited from withdrawing funds; any amount the user transfers in becomes the agent’s actual loss limit. Binance can monitor the final executed trades, but cannot see the agent’s external data sources or decision-making process.
Binance announced on August 20 the launch of Agent OS, as its developer platform within its intelligent ecosystem. By way of the model context protocol, the platform connects compatible AI applications with Binance trading, market data, wallets, payments, and on-chain capabilities. Within the permissions and funding limits users set themselves, they can authorize AI agents to read market data, view account information, and place orders.
