The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index’s negative premium narrowed to -0.0221%, but it remains in negative premium territory. Data shows that from May 19 to August 21, the index has been in the negative premium range for 95 straight days, breaking the longest continuous negative premium record since its launch. The previous record was 40 consecutive days from January 16 to February 24 this year. During last year’s “1011 crash,” there were about 30 consecutive days of negative premium. This index is used to measure the difference in Bitcoin prices between Coinbase Pro and Binance.
