$KGEN Alpha Trading Competition has started—first, look at the rules that are easiest to miss:
Time: Round 1 Beijing time Aug 20, 21:00–Aug 27, 21:00; Round 2 Aug 27, 21:00–Sep 3, 21:00. For the first two days before Round 1 ends at Aug 22, 21:00, the early-bird multiplier is 2.0x.
Eligibility & Entry: Users who can trade Binance Alpha may participate. EEA is not supported. Region and account eligibility are subject to the event page. On the Binance App event page for the KGEN Trading Competition, click “Join” first, then buy from Wallet (Keyless) or Alpha. Trading volume before registration does not count.
Rewards are ranked by eligible buy volume—not first-come, first-served. In each round, the top 2,000 participants split 590,000 KGEN evenly, with 295 KGEN per person. Sell volume, cross-chain activity, third-party DApps, and Alpha-to-Alpha trades do not count. The announcement doesn’t specify a minimum trade size, but to climb the rankings you must also absorb high volatility, liquidity changes, slippage, gas fees, and transaction wear-and-tear—costs may be higher than the rewards. Also, Alpha listings being displayed do not necessarily mean the spot market listing will be live.
Have you calculated round-trip slippage and fees before you join?
