Natural gas futures fell during the US session on Thursday.
According to the NYMEX, natural gas futures traded in September at USD 2.72 per million British thermal units at the time of writing, down 3.34%.
They had previously traded at USD 2.71 per million British thermal units.
Natural gas may find support at USD 2.638 and resistance at USD 2.875.
The Dollar Index futures, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.09% to trade at USD 98.82.
At the same time on NYMEX, the price of crude oil for October rose 2.41% to trade at USD 86.42 per barrel, while the price of heating oil for September rose 0.29% to trade at USD 4.47 per gallon.
