What’s behind the rebound in BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, SOL, and others?

The crypto market is experiencing a strong rebound, seemingly driven by a combination of macroeconomic, regulatory, and technical factors.

$BTC C: led the move by reclaiming $72,000 and moving above its 200-day moving average. The catch: the daily RSI entered overbought territory, so a correction wouldn’t be surprising.

$ETH H: followed with a strong move, reclaiming $2,300. Institutional inflows and short liquidations helped accelerate the rally.

$BNB : benefited primarily from the broader market rally, with a sharp increase in trading volume and total crypto market capitalization.

$XRP: also joined the upward move, showing that momentum isn’t limited to BTC and ETH.

$SOL: regained ground alongside major altcoins; its advance reflects a broader increase in risk appetite and a rotation into higher-beta assets.

What sparked the move?

The U.S. Treasury announced an increase in its buybacks of long-term bonds, while Trump once again pushed for the CLARITY Act. These developments were accompanied by strong ETF inflows and more than $3 billion in short positions being liquidated, creating a powerful short squeeze.

In short: favorable fundamentals → technical breakout → short liquidations → increased buying pressure.

The big question now is whether there’s enough genuine demand to sustain the rally once the short-squeeze effect fades.
