Recently, the animated film (Niu Lai) and its namesake token $牛来 have gone viral completely! Many people were deeply moved by the director-mom Sun Lifang’s end-credits song (Aroma in the Light After the Rain)—unpolished with no studio tuning, yet full of “human warmth.” This simple, heartfelt motherly love shouldn’t be confined only to the Chinese-speaking world!

Out of personal preference, I spent a few days turning this masterpiece into three versions in English, Portuguese, and Cantonese. Although the languages are different, that same grit and emotional pursuit—the resilience of “wave grass soaking your face, chasing the wind and riding the waves in the morning light”—is something everyone around the world can share.
