What is interesting about GT in TermMax?
For me, it’s not so much the name “Gearing Token” itself, but the idea behind it.
A leveraged position becomes a separate on-chain object, instead of the user manually assembling it from multiple actions.
Collateral + debt + leverage — all of this can be represented as one position.
And it’s a good example of how DeFi is gradually moving from:
“do 7 transactions yourself”
to
“choose the right strategy.”
The complexity doesn’t go away.
It just moves under the hood.
