šŸ”„ 5 things I wish someone told me 7 years ago to avoid burning my account.

šŸ’µ Item number 5 is exactly what I am applying until now.

I started investing in forex from 2019, you can see my Binance account opened in 2 / 2020 with over 7 years of experience summarized in this article for you.

Making money from crypto investment is my main profession, until recently I just started traditional business so I have gone through almost everything a newcomer has to experience.

After 5 years of struggle, from airdrop, gamefi, ido-ico,... from the time of 'peaking' coolly until I got those x15 coins like Front or x5 like Wemix, BTC ETH x2, I realized that 95% of newcomers 'disappear' not because the market is bad, but because of too many UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.

1. Know who you are: 'Gambler' or 'Investor'?

  • For those who are eager to fight, want to get rich quickly, have little capital but can handle waking up tomorrow to see their account 'evaporate' -> Come over to Futures. Quick gains, quick losses.

  • For those who are busy, want to play it safe, have good external cash flow, buy and leave it there to work on other things -> Spot is true love. -> The biggest mistake is continuously jumping in and out of many coins; be patient.

šŸ’µ In the end, I will bonus with a spot investment plan for the 2026 period that I will apply for your reference.

After reading this, you should know which path a newcomer should choose, right?

2. Don't dream of getting rich quickly: Whatever profession, you need to study for 4-5 years to earn money. Why do you want to buy a house or a car after just 1 month here?

Consider the first 1-2 years as tuition. Don't let that tuition be all the money you have, it's worse if you have to borrow.

I joined in 2019, experienced the uptrend of 2021, and then lost everything in the market. Fortunately, I didn't go negative. It wasn't until 2024 that I started accumulating more capital. Back then, I started with only $10-20 per trade.

3. 'If you're not full, don't worry about investing' Sounds harsh but it's true. Absolutely do not borrow, do not mortgage property, do not use your child's diaper money to trade.

šŸ’µ If you can do this, I believe you will succeed: always create a positive cash flow monthly and set aside a portion of that surplus for investment.

When you trade with the money you can 'afford to lose', your mindset will be stronger than 90% of the crowd out there. Mindset determines winning or losing, not technique.

4. Always have a clear plan

  • With Spot: At this price, what to do? Buy more or cut? At what price to sell?

  • With Futures: Choose one system (RSI, Ichimoku, MA... anything), but must strictly adhere to it. Trade like a Robot.Having a Stoploss (SL) means survival; letting SL go means death.

Practice one system only, like Bruce Lee, practice one kick 1000 times.

5. STRATEGY 'SMALL ACCUMULATION BECOMING BIG' for (SPOT) – THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT šŸ’µ

This is the process I use, not selling courses, not luring chickens into VIP paid groups (because I make a living by investing in crypto, not by teaching):

  • Step 1: Allocate capital.
For example, if you have $10000, allocate according to the following ratio that I will use this year:
    - $5000 (50%) to buy $BTC I will gradually accumulate if the price is below 80k; during that period, I sold all BTC at 110k.
    - $3000 (30%) to buy $ETH and $BNB : I also managed to cash out all ETH at $4950
    - $2000 (20%): The remaining amount I will use to participate in airdrop programs, following the current trends. For example, recently with binance alpha, I also earned over $5000.

    -2.32%
  • Step 2: Hunt targets. Filter the list of coins you want. Compare Marketcap, circulating supply.

  • Step 3: Enter the market: Never go all-in at one price. Buy first 30-50%. Splitting coins into 2 or 3 is a common occurrence; keep money to DCA (average price). You're not a saint to catch the bottom.

  • Step 4: Wait. After buying, what to do? Wait! Uptrend takes a few months, downtrend takes 2-3 years. At this time, whoever is more patient wins. And especially, I reiterate to make sure your monthly cash flow is POSITIVE.

  • Step 5: Positive cash flow:
Still working, earning money from other sources to support your passion. Don't let the pressure of daily life force you to sell prematurely; everyone has been through this. Like me, I didn't stop at that amount of capital; I hunted airdrops, traded, participated in gamefi, or took part in any trend that could earn money so I could reinvest to increase the amount of coins I have, just like a snowball that keeps rolling and getting bigger.

  • Finally: Once you've set a target for profit-taking, close your eyes and sell without wishing you could hold on longer to earn more; I used to do the same and held onto a coin from $40k down to under $1000.

āš ļø I share because I once rose from zero, once drove Grab tirelessly before having a freelance job and living without the pressure of life like now.
Hope to help everyone have more motivation.

šŸ˜ If anyone is still breathing, still holding, or has ever 'burned out', give me a like to know I'm not alone šŸ’µ
