I'm lucky I got profit on the pump of $BTC $ETH
so I'm happy today..
😅
Most people think fork resolution is about deciding which block is valid.
That's not the interesting part.
The interesting part is deciding between blocks that are already valid
When temporary forks appear, consensus isn't solving a validity problem. It's solving a coordination problem.
Multiple candidates may satisfy protocol requirements at the same time. Every node agrees they're legitimate. Yet the network still needs a deterministic way to converge on a single history.
This is why Dusk's fork resolution design caught my attention.
Through Succinct Attestation consensus, candidate selection isn't left to chance. Lower iteration candidates receive priority, while fallback mechanisms allow the network to safely reorganize if a stronger candidate later achieves consensus.
The result is subtle but important:
Consensus proves a block can exist.
Fork resolution decides which valid future becomes reality.
Recent Nocturne upgrades strengthened this process further by introducing early exits for Invalid Quorum and No Candidate Quorum scenarios, reducing unnecessary consensus rounds and improving network efficiency.
With more than 216M DUSK currently staked across 198 active nodes, deterministic candidate selection isn't just a technical detail it's one of the mechanisms that keeps settlement predictable at scale.
The deeper I look at blockchain design, the more I think consensus gets too much credit.
Coordination between valid possibilities is where the real engineering happens.#FOMCWatch #CryptoRally
