$UNITREE heat cools off; the huge valuation bubble is about to start digesting = Japan’s bubble economy
Before Unitree’s listing, it was extremely hyped—once it went live it surged to 131. Everywhere you could hear people praising it as a leading robotics stock, and many entered the market hoping to capture the new-issue subscription (IPO) dividend.

But once the good news was used up, it quickly fell back. It’s already down to around 100.

From a valuation perspective: at launch it was given a market cap close to 300 billion. Judging it against the financial report revenue, a reasonable valuation would be around 30 billion. That implies a 10x bubble. Even if there is a rebound in the meantime, it won’t change the overall direction of valuation reverting. A rebound is, in fact, an opportunity to short.

Right now, market opinions are also highly divided. Some are extremely bearish, thinking the bubble is severe. Others believe the capital can keep crowding together and push higher. But what I want to say is: this whole rally was purely driven by pre-listing sentiment and the story behind it. Once that’s told, it will enter the bubble-bursting phase.
