I kept hearing about EVM compatibility in the blockchain projects but DuskEVM made me look at the idea differently.

@Dusk_Foundation is building a Layer-1 focused on the regulated onchain finance. DuskEVM gives developers a familiar environment where Solidity applications and existing Ethereum tooling can connect with Dusk's infrastructure.

My friend asked me why that matters. Developers already know how to build with Solidity and Ethereum tools. Giving them an EVM path can reduce the friction of exploring a new network. But the bigger opportunity is what they can build on the top of it.

Dusk brings privacy into the picture. Financial applications can require confidential transactions, controlled disclosure and the rules around tokenized assets. Dusk's ecosystem also includes XSC for privacy-enabled tokenized securities and Hedger for confidential EVM transaction flows.

That combination is what makes DuskEVM more interesting to me.
It is not simply about making Dusk look familiar to Ethereum developers. It creates a path for developers to bring their existing skills into an environment designed around financial use cases.

If the regulated assets are going onchain then developers will need more than smart contracts. They will need infrastructure that can handle privacy and financial rules without giving up programmability.

DuskEVM could become an important part of that bridge.

Where could DuskEVM have the biggest impact?
