Look, brother, today’s market was kind of interesting. First off, Eli Lilly— they almost wiped out Novo Nordisk’s lead in weight-loss pills. Eli Lilly is now the stock of the day, and it looks like in this race they’re pulling ahead. Novo’s early edge is starting to fade. And yes, the US national debt has now crossed $40 trillion. Every second, $90K in interest gets added. Just hearing that number makes your head spin. The Treasury is trying to control bond yields, but with debt this huge, the pressure is also just as huge. Another important point— Fed officials have warned that if inflation stays high, rate hikes could come back. The market is digesting this right now. At first everyone thought cuts would happen, but now that has flipped. Eltek also had its Q2 earnings call today, but there wasn’t any big spark. Overall, the vibe is that the mountain of debt is growing, the Fed is under tension, and a new race has started in pharma. Do you think the Fed will actually raise rates, or is this just verbal intervention?
