ok quick one before i actually pass out
been staring at dusk network charts way too long tonight and i just... have mixed feelings i guess. the idea is kinda smart actually, privacy but not full anonymous mode, more like hide stuff by default but let auditors peek in when they need to. thats actually a real problem to solve, banks dont want trade data just floating around public like that
but then the price chart is up like 385% this month and volume is basically double the market cap which is just... not normal. thats not "boring serious institutional infra" behavior, thats meme coin behavior wearing a suit
also it took them seven years to get mainnet live and now theyre already stacking five more roadmap items on top before the first thing even proves itself. feels like a lot, maybe too much, i dont know
the bigger worry for me honestly isnt the tech, its regulators. this whole thing only works if regulators eventually say yes this counts as compliant, and regulators move like molasses especially with anything labeled "confidential." doesnt matter how good the cryptography is if some compliance office sits on it for two years
team seems solid on paper, real crypto and finance background, not just randoms. but good teams ship stuff nobody uses all the time, we've seen it happen
so yeah... i dont hate it. kinda like the niche its going after. just have zero conviction on whether it actually gets there. ask me again in six months, brain is done for tonight
