SUI is currently hovering around 0.7055u. Yesterday it was driven up all the way from 0.65 to 0.725. In four hours, there were 6 consecutive bullish candles, rising 9%—judging by the chart pattern alone, it’s definitely fierce.
But I’d rather call it a strong rebound than a reversal. The MACD has a golden cross, volume is up to about 2.6 times normal, and the price has broken above the 15-minute 50 moving average. Short-term momentum is indeed there. The problem is on the funding side—spot has seen net outflows over the past ~3 hours. In 12 candles, not a single one is green. On the derivatives side, the active buy orders have shrunk by about 70% within a few hours, and whale long positions’ share is also declining.
Put simply, the price is being lifted, but the proactive buying that lifts it is withdrawing. 0.725 is the nearest overhead resistance—if no one steps in with follow-through after pushing up, it’s easy to get pressed back toward around 0.69. The fee is only 0.01%, and open interest hasn’t piled up much, which suggests it hasn’t reached a crowded long/short situation yet. A drop likely won’t be a panic dump; more likely it’s just grinding in a high range.
Also, don’t ignore the higher timeframe: the price is still below the 50-day and 200-day moving averages. The daily structure hasn’t flipped yet. Rebounds like this are most prone to fizzle out at resistance levels.
So I wouldn’t chase at this point. If you already have positions, watch whether 0.69 can hold. If you want to get in, wait for the pullback to confirm, or for a breakout and stabilization above 0.725. Chasing here isn’t a great risk-reward right now.
