Last night I kept watching the board; around midnight I suddenly came across a post about a pair of sheepskin sandals. They looked so good I couldn’t sleep. This morning I didn’t even get more rest and went straight to place an order. Turns out the seller even secretly slipped in a handwritten card: “The fate I grabbed while watching the night board.” Well, I guess it really gets me.
Oh, and I went ahead and threw out the pair of old shoes I’d been wearing for two years—the soles are almost worn through. People say you can’t move forward with the old; you don’t get your money back until you let it go. I still have to go to the gym this afternoon to lift some weights and give my sore shoulders and neck from this week a break.
This week, at least once I had dinner somewhere other than my usual stop at the market. Forget it—let’s wait for the market to get better before I get excited.
