To be honest, the most annoying thing this week for me isn’t the market—it’s the flood of earnings reports coming one after another. Alphabet and Tesla are all in this round. Before the results are even out, the market already starts to get timid. Everyone’s waiting for the outcome to move. Honestly, at times like this there isn’t much to look at on the price action. Most of the day is low-volume drifting and grinding. The real big swings are all hidden in those few result release moments. Nobody knows whether it’ll rise first and then fall, or the other way around.

You could say the broader market looks okay—just fluctuating within a point or so—but underneath, the structure has already loosened. Chip stocks were just slaughtered a round a few days ago; NVDA, Microsoft, and other leading names are all soft. The index hasn’t collapsed purely because money is hiding in defense. I’m least willing to believe that line, “It’s fine—the market is steady,” when the move is basically “stable on the surface, running under the hood.”

And during this earnings season, what I fear most isn’t that the data will be bad. Even if the data is good, it can still fall. The kind of thing where “good news comes out and it’s sold as a negative” — I’ve seen that too many times these past few days. So my one hard-and-fast rule is this: during weeks packed with earnings, I don’t go overweight to bet on direction. What you’re betting on isn’t whether a single company is good or bad—it’s how long the market’s mood can recover. And that truly isn’t something anyone can predict accurately.

When risk appetite shrinks, the crypto market follows and there’s no action either. People won’t even price high-valuation stocks anymore—so where would the spare cash come from to rush in and catch the bull market’s “big bet”? So this week I’m lightly positioned on both sides. I’ll just get through the earnings gate first. Are you guys betting on a particular result moment, or are you just like me—staying out completely and waiting for direction? #财报 #美股 #Tesla #Alphabet #BTC
