I once really looked forward to launch days, but after going through it many times, everything fell into silence, and that feeling gradually disappeared. So when TermMax announced its launch date, the first thing I felt wasn’t excitement—it was more cautious
But when looking more closely at the problem TermMax is pursuing, the story started to change for me. Many protocols have to find ways to create utility so the token has a clear purpose. TermMax, meanwhile, starts from an existing need: both borrowers and lenders need a stable interest rate, even when the market keeps fluctuating
This point caught my attention because it goes in a completely different direction. After FTX, the crypto industry focused heavily on providing wallet addresses to show that assets exist. But that approach is still like showing someone someone else’s wallet without telling them exactly how much is inside. ZK proof of reserves approaches the problem differently: you can verify the result without having to publicly disclose all positions behind it. It both enables verification and reduces the need to share sensitive data
This is when I truly started paying attention to TermMax. But a launch day can’t replace a sufficiently long operating history, and a fixed rate only matters when liquidity is still there during the toughest times
I want to see how this design reacts when the market is under strong pressure. Right now, I still haven’t seen enough data from situations like that to draw a conclusion.
