$JCT: The harder it drops, the less I dare to chase a short.
I just glanced at the data, and there’s one thing that worries me.
Price has been falling, but the big players’ long/short positioning ratio is still 1.69.
That means: the group with the heaviest positions is still on the long side.
They haven’t run.
There are two possibilities here.
First:
The big players misjudged the market, and they’ll soon be forced to cut losses—then price will accelerate downward.
Second:
The big players know something we don’t. They’re waiting for a certain level.
After retail traders have all been stopped out and fully exit, then they push prices up.
If it’s the second scenario, then people chasing shorts right now could actually become fuel.
So for now, I’m only watching the 0.0017 level.
Break below, while OI is still rising → it means new shorts are entering; you can start looking for short opportunities.
Hold the level, and buy-side demand comes back → the big players’ logic may be correct, so be careful when chasing shorts.
I’m not guessing the direction now.
