Anyway guys ☺️

wanted to actually understand how a leader gets picked without anyone knowing who bid what, so i sat with the proof of blind bid section fora while.
each bid is a bundle of eight fields committed into a merkle tree, a commitment to the staked amount, a.

hashed secret, an encrypted version of that secret, a stealth address, and eligibility heights. none of those fields reveal who you are or how much youve staked 0n their own.

the score itself comes from hashing your secret together with the bid, the round, and the step. if that score clears a threshold thats recalcu lated dynamically.

for the network, youre the leader for that step. nobody else needs to see your stake to know youre eligible.
proving that score is legitimate to everyone else takes thirteen separate conditions inside a single zero knowledge proof, which is a lot of surface area for one proof to carry corrctly.

i havent worked out what happens when two bids clear the threshold in the. same round and step though, that part isnt fuly clear to me yet.
is a tie there handled by the reduction phase or does it get resolved earlier??
