To be honest, seeing this market setup, my first reaction isn’t excitement—it’s a bit of caution.
BTC is hovering around 64,465, with +0.5% over the past 24 hours and +0.5% over 7 days. This price action is like someone standing at a crossroads, looking back and forth: not daring to rush forward, but also not willing to step back. ETH is a little more active, up +1.3% to 1,921. But honestly, in a bull market, this kind of move is just a warm-up.
The Fear & Greed Index is 50—typical Neutral. Market sentiment feels like a cup of lukewarm water: not burning your mouth, but not chilling your heart either. This is exactly the kind of moment that makes people lower their guard.
What I really want to talk about is BTW. +70%, with $790M USDT in 24-hour volume, and a funding rate of 0.1414%. Put these numbers together and you get a classic overheating signal. I know a lot of people see this kind of surge and get jealous, feeling like they missed out on a few hundred million. But look at it from another angle: when a coin’s funding rate gets this high, it means the long side is already crowded to an extreme. I won’t deny that Bitway’s ecosystem narrative is imaginative, but no matter how good the story is, it can’t outrun how fast the price has priced it in. If you chase in now, you’re not buying the project—you’re buying someone else’s FOMO.
Personally, at this position, I’d rather miss out than be the last person sprinting to pass the baton.
Let’s also talk about HEMI and BR. Their gains look impressive, but the volume differences are huge. HEMI’s $131M in volume paired with a 31% rise is still somewhat healthy. BR only has $14M of volume—this volume-to-price coordination makes me want to put a big question mark on it. It’s not that they’re definitely in trouble, but in this market, rallies with insufficient volume usually don’t go very far.
What really makes things interesting to me is the losers list. GPS is -34%, and JCT is -33%. Both of these likely got hot for a while earlier, and now they’ve dropped like this—yet the funding rate is actually normal. What does that imply? It suggests the panic selling has already been mostly flushed out. But that doesn’t automatically mean this is the bottom right now. I’ve seen too many people catch falling knives while the drop is still in progress—and after catching it, they find there’s even a “basement” below.
My trading thesis is pretty simple. At this BTC level, I won’t chase longs, and I’m not in a hurry to bet on a short either. If there’s a breakout with volume in the 64,000–65,000 range, I’ll consider following with a light position. I’ll place the stop loss around 63,200. My first target is 66,500. If it breaks below 63,000, then this rebound is likely just a fake move, and there may be another pullback afterward. ETH is relatively stronger: support is around 1,900; stop loss at 1,880. For a short-term trade, I’m looking at the 1,960–1,980 range.
As for those altcoins that have been pumping hard, my advice is to let the bullets fly for a bit. The market always has different voices. When everyone’s staring at the gainers list, it’s often when risk is accumulating the fastest. Calm down and analyze—at this stage, instead of chasing hot spots, it’s better to stay with the mainstream and wait for the direction to become clear.
Lastly, PEPE and LINK are trending on the hot search. At times like this, popular coins usually have two paths: either they mark the start of a new round of the market, or they end up being the final dinner. What do you think? Chat about your views in the comments.
