According to CNBC, shares of Moderna and Merck surged premarket after a personalized cancer vaccine developed jointly by the two companies showed positive results in a late-stage trial. Moderna's stock at one point soared 57%, while Merck's jumped just over 6%. It is unclear when the companies plan to submit applications for approval of the drug in the U.S. Among other movers, Estee Lauder rose more than 7% after reporting fiscal fourth-quarter earnings and revenue that beat consensus estimates, and it expects earnings of between $3.10 and $3.35 per share in fiscal year 2027. Analog Devices gained more than 3% after adjusted earnings, revenue and current-quarter guidance topped expectations, with non-GAAP gross margin rising to 72.5% from 69.2% a year earlier. Keysight Technologies rose 2% after posting third-quarter earnings of $3.07 per share, excluding items, above the $2.48 expected, on revenue of $1.85 billion versus a $1.75 billion consensus. Toll Brothers rose just over 1% after third-quarter earnings of $2.97 per share on revenue of $2.65 billion beat estimates. On the downside, Lowe's fell 2% after cutting its full-year sales and earnings outlook to the bottom end of prior guidance and missing second-quarter revenue expectations amid pressure in home improvement spending. Target declined 1.5% despite better-than-expected second-quarter revenue and raised full-year guidance, aided by a $752 million boost to net earnings from tariff refunds. La-Z-Boy tanked almost 17% after first-quarter adjusted earnings of 43 cents per share fell 9% year over year and it guided current-quarter revenue to $500 million to $520 million, below the $536.8 million consensus. Mercury Systems slid more than 9% after projecting fiscal 2027 revenue of about $1.1 billion and posting fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of 37 cents, missing consensus by a cent.
