BTTC— new thesis tokenomics really comes alive
BitTorrent announced that the buyback & burn BTTC program has been launched. The key point is that the funding source is not new emissions or speculative treasury:
100% of revenue from BitTorrent’s decentralized services → buyback BTTC → burn.
The program starts in Q3 2026, with purchases made at market price; the tokens from the buyback will be sent to a burn address in mid-October 2026, and BitTorrent pledges to publish the burn amount as well as on-chain transactions.
TRON DAO then confirmed on August 17 that the BTTC and WIN buyback-and-burn programs have been launched.
