There’s one thing nobody tells you when you’re young:
Every choice has a price.
Even the ones that seem like they have no consequences.
Every hour you work is an hour you didn’t spend with someone.
Every bit of money you spend is a possibility you gave up to build.
Every “yes” you give to someone can be a “no” for yourself.
And every time you stay where you shouldn’t be, you’re paying with something you can never get back:
time.
I took a while to understand that the most important question isn’t:
“How much will this cost me?”
It’s:
“What am I giving up on living in order to choose this?”
Today, if I could go back, I wouldn’t do everything differently.
But I would choose with much more awareness.
Because money can be recovered.
An opportunity can come back.
But time...
it never gives change.
