The question is much more complex:
how does the blockchain, in general, “know” how much an asset is worth in the real world?
In Web3, oracles and other mechanisms are used to connect the blockchain with external data.
And this is a very important concept for tokenized assets.
Because a token can be completely digital, but the asset it represents exists outside the blockchain.
So it’s a kind of bridge between two worlds:
real financial data → digital asset → blockchain.
In my opinion, it is precisely these mechanisms that are the real technological foundation of tokenization.
