BTC has been ranging between 63,000 and 65,000 for more than a week. Tonight it’s standing above 64,700, up 1.3% over the past 24 hours. Honestly, I’m a bit itchy and a bit afraid at this point—itchy because it looks like it’s about to break out, afraid because I always feel one more big bearish candle to shake out the market is still needed before things feel stable.
First, let me lay out a few key data points for today and talk through my logic:
$BTC is currently reporting 64,702. Today’s low touched 63,779 and the high was 65,057. The intraday range is under 2%, a typical narrow-range consolidation. This kind of move often happens on the eve of a breakout—either breaking upward into the dense trapped-liquidity zone of 66,000–67,000, or a downward fakeout that scares out the panic orders around 63,000. From the 4-hour timeframe, the BOLL bands have been steadily narrowing; the MACD has a golden cross, but volume hasn’t caught up. Personally, I lean more toward building up energy than a trend reversal. Key support is 63,500 (daily MA120 plus prior swing lows as double support). The resistance is 66,000 (the top of the dense成交 zone). If tomorrow morning it can hold steadily above 65,000, I might try a small long position. If it breaks below 63,500, I’ll just watch quietly.
$ETH is currently reporting 1,914, basically tracking BTC but weaker. The 1,900 area is pretty crucial. It’s been tested three times without effectively breaking down, forming a small double-bottom structure. But the trading volume really isn’t good, and the number of active addresses on-chain is down about 15% from late July. Without funding support, it’s hard for ETH to carve out an independent trend. My view is ETH will likely keep grinding in the 1,850–1,950 range, and the “down with BTC but don’t go up much” behavior won’t change. If you really want to trade, the ETH/BTC pair may have better chances—this ratio has already fallen below the historical midpoint.
$SOL 76.83, today’s performance is decent, up 1.19%. But let me pour some cold water: on the momentum leaderboard, AKEUSDT is up 561% in 7 days, and BANKUSDT is up 108%. When these “weird coins” dominate, it usually means the money isn’t in the mainstream at all—it’s digging pockets among low-liquidity meme coins. On the SOL chain, DEX trading volume hasn’t collapsed, but the growth rate of new users is clearly slowing down. In the short term, SOL is still likely to follow BTC’s rhythm, grinding in the 75–80 range. Only when it can break above the previous high at 85 should we talk—no rush.
A few interesting signals:
1. On the slow-rise leaderboard, LINK at $9.46 entered the top ten with only a 1.4% pullback. This pullback control is very healthy. LINK has long been undervalued; if BTC truly strengthens, LINK’s upside elasticity could be bigger than ETH’s.
2. In the stealth leaderboard, FLOCK and MANTRA’s trading volume has been inflated by dozens of times—these kinds of explosive breakouts are very likely fake breakouts. I previously analyzed that 78% of such moves would fall back within 1 hour. Don’t chase, friends.
3. A mysterious system monitoring detected that Day 18 is missing the satisfied buy conditions (25 points, out of 100). This suggests the main funds are still observing; retail traders shouldn’t get too carried away.
Event reminder: Tomorrow night the Fed will release the meeting minutes. This is the biggest variable of the week. If the wording is hawkish, BTC may pull back to 62,000. If it’s dovish, 66,000 might be broken. My own plan is to reduce leverage to the minimum before the minutes, and keep spot holdings unchanged.
Trading strategy: leaning toward caution, not heavy positions. Keep position sizing within 30% and wait until direction becomes clear. If I absolutely have to act: I’ll chase a bit of long when BTC breaks above 65,200; if it breaks below 63,500, I’ll flip and open a short. For ETH and SOL, I won’t touch them for now—when the market is weak, trading weak assets makes it easy to get hit from both sides.
Admitting where my prediction might be wrong: If tonight it directly prints a big bullish candle and rallies to above 66,000, all my above cautions will be slapped in the face. In that case, I’ll admit the mistake and chase—but I won’t bet heavily on a position at the current level.
Do you think tomorrow will break upward or will it fake a breakdown downward? Comment to vote: 1) Long breakout above 66,000 2) Bearish pullback to 62,000 3) Continue ranging and wait for the Fed minutes
