History has always been repeating itself, and the market rules that Livermore observed a century ago still apply to the crypto market. Now RVN has exposed a consensus vulnerability: the reorganization caused by a hype-driven chain reshuffle has triggered collective panic—this kind of scenario is not unfamiliar.

In the early days, BTC saw network forks and code vulnerabilities, and this year LTC experienced a 13-block reorganization. At the time, the market was just as pessimistic. All three belong to the UTXO-PoW system; what they encountered was a disagreement between old and new client rules. Once the patch is released, it can be fixed—there is no ability to mint or issue extra tokens.

Many traders keep repeating the same historical mistakes: when they hear rumors of a reorg, they go all-in on being bearish, confusing two different kinds of risk. The ONE vulnerability allows unlimited minting of tokens—an irreparable disaster. RVN’s fixed maximum-supply rule is constant, and the float is not diluted.

Human nature is eternal, and the cycle of panic keeps playing out. Looking at the past experiences of established PoW coins, it’s hard for a mere consensus bug to destroy underlying value. Don’t make hasty trading decisions in the heat of extreme emotions.
