Ant Health confirmed on August 18 that it has acquired Fengshi Health, a medical and health services provider, according to Jiemian News. Ant Health said Fengshi Health serves mid- to high-end medical and health clients and its commercial insurance direct-payment network covers more than 1,500 public hospital international departments, special-care departments and high-end private hospitals, with smart settlement terminals used to enable direct insurance settlement.

Ant Health said Fengshi Health will be integrated into its system after the acquisition and will work with its medical insurance code and commercial insurance code one-stop settlement capabilities to further expand direct-payment coverage through Alipay and the Ant Aifu app. Fengshi Health was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Shanghai. Its services include hospital management, insurance management and member health services. According to the company’s website and Tianyancha, its operating entity, Shanghai Fengshi Health Technology Co., Ltd., is jointly held by several individuals, with Chen Zong as the controlling shareholder; it also received A-round investment from Zhiyi Capital at the end of 2022.
